India has developed blown film PET alloy

India's futurapolyesters has successfully developed the pet/ptn (polytrimethylene terephthalate) alloy and produced beer bottles by stretch blow molding. According to the report, the barrier properties of the alloy are greatly improved when compared with pure pets. Beer bottles produced with new resins have a barrier resistance of co2 that is 18 times higher than that of pet, and a barrier of 9 times that of o2. This means that beer in this beer bottle will have a longer shelf life.
